Vienna is experiencing the multiplicity of political, social, and artistic freedom, but anti democratic movements, insecurity, and unemployment are also emerging. Peter used to be a police inspector, and in the New Austrian Republic, he felt like a stranger. When Peter wanted to leave the town, he encountered the murder of a former comrade in arms. He decided to stay and bring the murderer to justice. His ally is Dr. Theresa Korner, a determined and calm headed forensic physician. These two are not only linked by this case, but also by a deeper shared history. As the investigation progressed, they realized that they not only had to face a systematic killer who tortured the victims, but also opposition and conspiracy from within the police force.
