Young lovers Max and Lime dream of living together, but war breaks out and everything seems inviolable - their emotions and plans fall apart like a house of cards. Max, along with his parents and other Jewish families, was taken to a death camp by the Germans. He managed to survive and returned to his hometown after the war, where he waited for a painful disappointment - the father of lime had been secretly and actively helping the Nazis.
